Everyday social support processes: Household members’ instrumental and emotional support of entrepreneurs

While it is well-established that entrepreneurs benefit from social support, little known about how and when instrumental emotional support household members facilitate entrepreneurial action persistence. Through a longitudinal, qualitative study, we develop conceptual framework shows the becomes an integral part of everyday activities entrepreneurs. In contrast to perception as static, our findings illustrate dynamic, ongoing process which core business start-up growth over time. We also challenge perspectives households are simply repositories resources passive recipients by demonstrating necessarily interactive, whereby play collaborative role in entrepreneurship.
